Greg Pichler is the president and treasurer of Open Systems Group Limited. His passion is for excellence in the development of advanced solutions for customer contact.
Greg has more than eighteen years of 'hands on' experience, overseeing information technology projects. At IBM Canada located in Toronto , Ontario , Greg studied advances in Computer Aided Software Engineering technology and recommended key changes to IBM Canada's software development process to take advantage of structured, object-oriented design and development practices. Greg left IBM in 1992 to form Sentient Inc. a value added reseller of Association Management software. Greg was responsible for technical sales and helped advance the information technology infrastructure of a number of Canada 's largest professional associations, including the Canadian Association of Association Executives, Grocery Product Manufacturers Association and the Life Underwriters Association of Canada.
In 1996, Greg left Sentient Inc. to form Open Systems Group Limited to offer advanced B2B and B2C Internet applications, corporate portals and web services. Under the umbrella of OSG Ltd. Greg has worked on a number of high profile accounts. In 2001 Greg developed a sales reporting system for the Sun Media Corporation. In 2003 Greg developed a B2B client access application for Herz Financial, allowing downstream brokers of disability insurance products to access the company's claims information over the Internet. In 2005 Greg worked on an Intranet application for the London , England branch of the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMCS) that scans financial transactions for phonetic matches against a list of known terrorist organizations, allowing compliance officers to discover and investigate suspicious transactions.
In 2005 Greg oversaw the development of a web portal, hosting Motorola Canada 's affinity program for the two-way radio division. The web portal, entitled Motorola Excellence, allows Motorola Canada to measure and report Dealer performance across a number of sales metrics. The portal also allows Motorola Canada to calculate and report rebates and the information of other Dealer programs and promotions to the Dealers the dealers of Motorola's two-way radio web portal affinity programs.
In 2008 Greg oversaw the development of the 3.x series of Utilicom, a software product that manages wireline telecommunication assets for tier 2/3 Managed Service Providers, for CommSolv. CommSolv is a software vendor, offering software products and solutions for the telecommunications industry to manage order entry, inventory control, provisioning of telecommunication equipment and assets, reporting and auditing.

Greg holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the School of Business & Public Administration at George Washington University in Washington , D.C. , and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the College of Arts and Sciences at Lehigh University in Bethlehem , Pennsylvania . While at George Washington University , Greg did his concentration in Science, Technology and Innovation.
